Job Type: Part Time/As Needed
Schedule: 4-6hr Shift
Work Location: One location
Compensation: $18-$22/hr

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented PART TIME (as needed) Canning Line Operations Assistant to join our production team. The ideal candidate will assist in the daily operations of the canning line, ensuring the efficient and safe packaging of our products while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Canning Line Operations Assistant job duties and responsibilities include:

​

  • Assist with Setup and Operation: Support the setup and operation of the canning line, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly and efficiently.

  • Monitor Production: Track production processes and assist in maintaining production schedules. Report any issues to the line supervisor.

  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on canned products to ensure compliance with company standards. Identify and address any quality concerns.

  • Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the canning line and surrounding areas are kept clean and organized. Follow all safety and sanitation protocols.

  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of cans, lids, and other supplies, reporting needs to the supervisor.

  • Troubleshooting: Help identify and resolve any mechanical or operational issues that arise during production.

  • Documentation: Complete required paperwork and logs related to production runs, including quantity produced and any incidents.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Qualifications:
 

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred, particularly in canning or bottling operations.

  • Knowledge of brewing equipment and sanitation practices

  • Ability to understand equipment and make small repairs

  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate records

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed

  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods of time, climb a ladder and perform repetitive tasks.

     

Working Conditions: The Canning Operations Assistant will work in a production facility. The work environment can be hot and humid due to the fermentation process.  Personal protective equipment may be required when working with chemicals or cleaning equipment.
